Conditions and Diagnosis

We have been taught to think of our health in terms of "diagnosis" or a condition.  By doing this, we limit our ability to address what is really going on and thus the circular and un-ending cycle of today's healthcare where patients feel as though they are not getting answers.

Functional medicine starts with getting a clear picture of your symptoms with a detailed history and conversation with you.  We then conduct science-based diagnostic testing so your body can reveal where you may be out of balance (both too much or too little).

We then analyze the results.  Often there is more than one issue. We do not seek to address them all when we begin. We first address the top priorities.  Why?

All parts of your body are connected.  Often by addressing the top priorities, other imbalances tend to resolve on their own since all parts are connected.  Once we have addressed the top priorities, we then work our way through the next or until you have reached 'optimal health'.

Below is a list of common conditions and diagnoses that often lead patients to Functional Medicine.  Contact us to get started today toward Optimal Health with a free 15 minute phone consultation.
