About the Workshop and Presentation
Come learn about the Gut-Brain Axis: how the gut and brain affect each other and how this relationship between the gut and the brain impacts your overall health and wellness. This is an interactive workshop with hands-on exercises. There will be handouts as well as a powerpoint and time for questions and answers with the co-presenters. Lunch is also included in registration.
Specifically, co-presenters will cover through discussion and exercises:
Dr. Erin Stefanacci, DC, CFMP will address the Biochemistry of the Gut-Brain Axis - the science and physiological components of gut infection, inflammation, insufficiency and imbalance (and what to do). By understanding the Gut-Brain Axis and how to keep it in balance, you can learn how to address brain fog, aging related concerns, digestive issues (constipation, bloating, etc.), anxiety, depression, memory/concentration issues, and inability to focus in a natural way without surgery and without prescription drugs.
Laura Cardwell, Certified Brain Coach and Energetic Kinesiologicst will address the Emotional and Energetic Relationship of Gut Brain Health. Understanding the physical structures of the Gut Brain-Axis are the first part of the story. The second half is to understand the energetic and mental components that can affect these areas and play a role in the overall physiological function. By understanding how our thought patterns can affect our physiology and our physiology reflects our thoughts we can begin to truly understand the Gut-Brain Axis and how we can make this dynamic communication pathway work in our favor.
