Finding my health calling

Updated: Aug 23, 2020

From a young age, I always knew that I would grow up to help others find health. It wasn’t until years later I would find out exactly how I would do that.

After working almost 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry I realized most patients were never actually finding true health and wellness. More often than not, one medication turned into five medications, and patients always complained that they never felt their best. It was then I decided to do something different.

I wanted to help people heal without the use of drugs and without surgery. I ended up deciding on a career in chiropractic. After all I had been seeing a chiropractor since I was 14.  I didn’t go for back pain or neck pain, it was simply a preventative measure to stay well. During my time in chiropractic school, some of my family members had experienced some health issues that chiropractic was not able to help but neither was traditional medicine. I dug deeper. While in chiropractic school, I stumbled on functional medicine, finding the root cause of chronic health conditions. This was exactly what I was looking for. About halfway through chiropractic school, I started studying functional medicine, obtaining multiple certifications in various aspects of functional medicine by the time I graduated from chiropractic school. I am now living my dream of helping others find health without drugs and surgery.

I am happily married with two rescued fur-babies. I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and teaching for over 4. I enjoys all styles of yoga. In my spare time I enjoy getting outside to run, bike and hike. I hope to be an Iron(wo)man one day.
